ROBERTO GESELL BARRIA (Q.E.P.D.)

Don Roberto Gesell ingreso a la “Quinta Compañía de Guarda Propiedad y Salvataje” el 16 de Julio de 1943, siendo fundador de esta compañía con aquellos 25 primeros pioneros que acudieron a la Asamblea Constitutiva y Fundacional de esta Compañía.

Transcurridos sus primeros años de formación bomberil, la Compañía le designó las tareas de Ayudante, luego siendo siempre un Voluntario activo desde 1947 a 1990, ocuparia los cargos de Secretario, Teniente 3ro, Teniente 2do y Teniente 1ro.

Al cumplir las “Bodas de Plata” de la Compañía, se hace acreedor al “Quinto Premio de Constancia por Años de Servicio”, que le distingue como “Miembro Honorario del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Ancud”.

Por sus condiciones personales y de formación seria, entusiasta y de gran prudencia, ha sido un constante colaborador en el trabajo grupal de Voluntarios y como Oficial su accionar siempre contó con el respeto, aprecio y simpatia de sus congeneres.

Era y será recordado como un “Caballero del Fuego”, inborrable será su accionar que siempre se mantuvo activo, desempeñando cargos y comisiones en beneficio de su querida Quinta Compañía e Institución, motivo por el cual goza de prestigio en esta gran familia bomberil que conocemos como Cuerpo de Bomberos de Ancud.
